The deal
By using Sassy Litchi ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

The service
Sassy Litchi is an AI language tutor. You practice conversation, get feedback, and track vocabulary and progress.
Important: Replies are generated by artificial intelligence. They can be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate. The Service is for language practice — not professional, legal, medical, or emergency advice.
Who can use it
By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required where you live, if higher) and able to enter a binding contract. We do not verify your age — you are responsible for meeting this requirement. You must provide accurate account information and keep your password secure.
Your account

Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, abusive, or harmful
- Attempt to hack, scrape, or overload our systems
- Share content that infringes others' rights
- Circumvent usage limits or billing
- Use the Service to generate spam or malware
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of messages and content you submit. You grant us a licence to store, process, and transmit that content only as needed to run the Service — including sending messages to AI providers to generate replies.
AI replies are generated by third-party models routed through OpenRouter. The models currently in use are listed in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions and payments
Paid plans and credit top-ups are processed by Creem. By subscribing you agree to:
- Recurring billing for subscriptions until you cancel
- Prices shown at checkout (taxes may apply)
- Our refund policy below
Manage billing in the app under Subscribe, or via Creem's customer portal when available.
Cancellation
You can cancel a subscription from the app. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise at checkout.
Refunds
Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable once a billing period has started. Contact [email protected] if you believe a charge was made in error — we'll review case by case.
Free tier and usage limits
We may offer free usage with limits. We can change free-tier limits or features with reasonable notice.
Our property
The Sassy Litchi name, logo, app design, and built-in scenarios are ours. Don't copy or reuse them without permission.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee fluency results, uptime, or that AI output will always be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JB Software is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or €100 if you haven't paid anything).
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits — where that's the case, our liability is limited to the minimum allowed by law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy).
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service. We'll try to give reasonable notice when possible.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above.
If we make material changes, we'll also notify you in the app the next time you log in before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that notice, you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, stop using the Service and delete your account before the changes apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Paris, France, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country give you different rights.
